Henley Regatta Reunion

What fun it was to meet with alumni at Henley Royal Regatta on Wednesday 28 June.

For the first time, we were delighted to host a gazebo at Henley Cricket Club where RGS alumni enjoying the regatta could pop along for a glass of Pimms and the opportunity to catch up with other alumni who had RGS and a love of rowing in common. It was absolute pleasure to connect RGS rowers spanning from 1956-2022 who shared memories and stories, both of school-days and later life.

Scott and Sophie were especially excited to see some RGS rowing blazers being worn with pride, and also to be able to introduce some alumni to our current RGS Rowing Captains who could share their thoughts on School and the RGS Boat Club today.

With several OEs racing during the week too there were plenty of good race results to follow and keep updated on, none more than Ben Thomson who lifted the Thames Challenge Cup with his crew after a brilliant win on the Sunday.

A big thanks to everyone who joined us and we look forward to meeting again at the event next year.
